Sedgwick Co. Typeface

Sedgwick Co. Typeface

About a year ago I decided to begin a project called “The Hometown Homage Type Project” The concept behind this project was to create a typeface inspired by every place I have lived, and a new one for every new city I move to. I use each typeface to not only mark a period of my life, but also track my progress and changing personality as a designer. My first finished typeface is Sedgwick County. It is inspired by the city of Wichita, KS. It borrows from the traditional western slab serif typefaces and mixes in modern inspiration to make it a solid and very masculine typeface. I released it with the help of Font Squirrel and Font Spring. You can download a FREE version here.

I am working on Version 2.0, which will support multi language and contain many more glyphs. I will probably charge a minimal fee to download that version but I will keep you updated as I progress!

Great idea and great typeface. Now move some where else so you have to make another one.
